You can support the mission of the Civic Trust:

Since the founding of the Christchurch Civic Trust in 1965, the Trust has embarked on a number of major heritage protection projects to enhance the sustainability of the City and, where necessary, to challenge proposals that could undermine that mission.  Such endeavours require the active support of members of the Trust, backed up – where appropriate – by the involvement of other community bodies, such as the Christchurch Heritage Trust and the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.

The Trust currently has a total membership of about 120 persons drawn from a cross-section of the local community. Whilst applications for membership from people with professional experience in appropriate fields are always welcome, so too are applications from other people with a strong desire to make a contribution to help enhance Christchurch as a better place in which to live and work.
